By God’s grace we had a blast from the weekend. Since you can read of the “serious” or “spiritual” side of the conference in many blogs including my own, here are some pics from the “fun” side though I would argue that having fun amongst God’s family is spiritual and serious.
On Saturday evening we went out to P.F. Chang’s for dinner. On our route to the restaurant we detoured several times thanks to the Cities’ wonderful signs on the freeway and my co-pilot (I will keep this person’s name anonymous). But I think my co-pilot was nervous due to my California driving because I noticed that this person’s right hand was gripped on the door the whole time.
This night reminded me of what I left back in Cali – busy cars, the nightlights, high-rises, crowds, restaurants, etc.
I was a bit concerned how some of our group would respond to the restaurant, but thankfully, we all had a blast. The food and fellowship were simply amazing. In fact, the whole weekend was filled with wonderful food and fellowships but this night was the highlight. I felt like a beach ball afterward and wondered whether everyone would fit back into my Honda Pilot. Thanks again Mary!
Here Jason is showing off his kung-fu move on his wife. Poor Jodi.
This is a shot that you don’t often see from this brother.
